… I can still feel the sting of the tears that where in my eyes when this picture was taken in 1952. We had just buried my precious grandmother, and grandpa was leaving to go back to Florida. At 10 years old I realized that the time I had enjoyed with them both was about to change and a another season of life was about to begin…

Sure enough, 20 years passed very quickly, and as I was enjoying dinner with him one day, he stopped the meal to pronounce a special blessing onto the daughter I was then expecting. She was my 2nd daughter and I believe his 3rd great grandchild. He spoke of the importance his children and their children would be to him, and how import they would all be in helping spread gods word. (I have lived long enough now to see that truth)

During that visit he also gave me permission and charged me with the honor and the duty to help spread the good news of Christ by learning and singing correctly, the songs he had written with the group Christian singers I’ve been privileged to sing with through the years. And I quote “It will be your duty, as my oldest grandchild to learn these songs correctly, sing them as a group and to teach others.” he Realizing his time left wasn’t long and it was my honor to sit with him in his den and sing as he croaked out the tenor notes to teach me the beautiful harmonies he had so to tediously been inspired to write down.

It is with these memories I based my hope and prayers that this book will indeed fulfill his wish and make all his songs available to Christians everywhere, helping him to fulfill the promise he made to God to preach the gospel. To this end our family requests your help and hope and prey TO GOD BE THE GLORY
