Did you know that A.W. Dicus wrote 30+ songs? Our God He is Alive and Lord I Believe are among his best known among the saints. Interestingly, he did not consider himself a studied musician, but instead used the science of Physics to compose the notes and harmonies. He urged the family to keep the songs and sing them ‘as written’ in their original key. One can imagine this great scientist composing so many of these amazing lyrics as he pondered the wonders of God’s creation that was at the heart of all he studied.
